Jude Welter was trained in Graphic Arts and worked for a prestigious ad agency in Portland for several years, until she was able to go into business for herself.  She and her husband and sister, opened a gallery and restaurant in the historic Canemah district of Oregon City.  This was a great learning opportunity about art and business.   It was also during this time that the continuing education program in Clackamas County and Canby hired Jude to teach watercolor classes.  She did this successfully for 35 years, just recently retiring.  Enplenair workshops in the summers were also a great way to teach and Jude did these beginning in 1995. 

Jude works in several mediums:   oils, watercolors, acrylics, inks and pencil.  She also believes in ‘continuing’ education for herself and is a life-long pupil of applying creativity to her life.
