Artist Statement

I am an artist in the Pacific Northwest and grew up hiking in the Columbia River Gorge. This was a big influence in my love of the landscape. On a whim I signed up for a plein air/ oil painting workshop and I have been hooked ever since. I have expanded to many subjects since then and have trained under some of the top artists in the United States. I have also competed in regional and national call art competitions including the Pacific Northwest Plein Air Exhibition at Maryhill Museum.
