Born and raised in California, Greg started his adult working life with two combat tours in Vietnam. Realizing that he didn't want to make the military his career he earned a bachelor's degree from California State University at Fullerton and went to work for an insurance company and then into managing auto repair facilities for the next 25 years. He then retired from the insurance company he originally started with. Retirement meant more time with the family and golf and travel. When covid hit it was time to find something to fill the time staying at home and that was woodturning. It has now become his favorite pastime which he has  turned into a business. Using various types of wood he has learned the art of turning bowls, plates, vases and hollow forms. Recently he has entered the world of turning hybrid items from wood and resin combined.
