Artist Statement

Lee's work explores nature and wildlife through texture, color, movement and light in order to bring her subjects alive. She loves the transparency and fluidity of watercolor, and has enjoyed exploring the seemingly endless techniques available within the medium. As an animal lover, she finds joy in capturing creatures' particular energy and expression, and painting custom pet portraits is one of her very favorite parts of her practice.
