We will paint a small collection of glass pieces (3) with the objective of learning to save the highlights, capture the play of reflected light and color between the objects and create a sense of transparency in the glass pieces.

Class Fee: $60pp

Supplies: Bring the things you use to paint.   In addition:

  • You will need liquid mask, a mask brush, and whatever you use to prevent your brush from gooing up.

  • Pencils

  • Scissors

  • Exacto knife and extra blades.  You will need at least three blades to do the painting, probably more.

  • Kneaded eraser

  • ½ sheet of your favorite watercolor paper.  I use 156# but 140# or 300# will do as well.

  • I suggest you prepare the paper in the way you are used to using it.  To save time, I suggest you have your drawing transferred to the paper before class.  You may use my photo or one of your own.

  • I will supply the tape and other masking materials.

  • I will bring my hairdryer and heat gun, but if you have one of your own, you may want to bring it as well.

Space is limited to 10 students
