We will paint a small collection of glass pieces (3) with the objective of learning to save the highlights, capture the play of reflected light and color between the objects and create a sense of transparency in the glass pieces.
Class Fee: $60pp
Supplies: Bring the things you use to paint. In addition:
You will need liquid mask, a mask brush, and whatever you use to prevent your brush from gooing up.
Pencils
Scissors
Exacto knife and extra blades. You will need at least three blades to do the painting, probably more.
Kneaded eraser
½ sheet of your favorite watercolor paper. I use 156# but 140# or 300# will do as well.
I suggest you prepare the paper in the way you are used to using it. To save time, I suggest you have your drawing transferred to the paper before class. You may use my photo or one of your own.
I will supply the tape and other masking materials.
I will bring my hairdryer and heat gun, but if you have one of your own, you may want to bring it as well.
Space is limited to 10 students
